recent Bellevue University signee. Josh Samuelson
homered for Central, his 2nd in two games. Brad
Benes picked up his twelfth RBI of the season for the

Justin VanDyke was 4-for-4 with 2 dbls
and 3 RBI's and sparked a late rally as the Discovers
overcame an early 4 run deficit. James Landholm

Alex Terry as was earlier reported).

Skutt Alum Walz Gets Win Over #4 Arizona State
University
of Kansas righthander T.J. Walz earned a big win Saturday over the #4
team in the nation as the Jayhawks defeated Arizona State, 3-2, on
the road. The former Omaha Skutt standout threw 6 1/3 innings and
allowed two runs on six hits with just one walk and six strikeouts.
During one stretch, he retired ten of twelve batters faced. It was
the second win of the season for Walz as the Jayhawks improved to 10-4.
It was only the third loss of the season for the Sun Devils against
thirteen wins. |
