BaseballNebraska is stepping up its efforts to promote Nebraska high school baseball players by offering a special year-round subscription-based service called "BaseballNebraska Prospects."  The goal of the service is to provide a central location where coaches and scouts from Nebraska and surrounding states can come to learn more about pro and college prospects now playing in the Nebraska high school ranks. 

The service provides a searchable database of player information on a secure website that can be accessed (at no cost) by area college coaches or any other college coach or pro scout who wishes to register for the service.  Players who wish to participate in the service may choose from three levels of service:

Prospects Basic - this free service allows the player to input basic information (name, school, graduation year, height, weight, throws r/l, bats r/l/s, contact information) into the searchable database. 

Prospects Silver - for a fee of $50 for a renewable sixth-month subscription a link will be provided on the player's listing that takes the coach to a detailed player page that includes contact info, personal, academic, athletic and other relevant information, such as SAT / ACT scores, school activities, a headshot photo, baseball honors and awards, college plans, links to BaseballNebraska articles in which you may be mentioned and much more.

Prospects Gold - for a fee of $100 for a renewable sixth-month subscription your Gold listing will include all of the Silver features plus action photos and video clips (to be provided by the player).  BaseballNebraska will make available at no charge any action photos and headshots that we may have but otherwise the player will be responsible for providing his own photo or video files. 

Initial discussions with area baseball coaches, particularly at smaller colleges, indicate that the Prospects service will be widely used to identify recruitment prospects.  Coaches are already coming to our website to read about Nebraska high school players.  This service will provide them with better tools to find the kind of players they're looking for.  Coaches can either come to the Prospects database and search for players, or you can include a secure link to your Prospects Gold or Silver listing when you contact a school that you are interested in.
